How we work

Sweet Lake Analytics - delivering tailored solutions and analytics.

Each project is different and therefore in each project, we might take a slightly different approach. We do have however some general strategies to get to a solution as efficiently as possible.

This approach helps to identify quickly whether we can be of service to you or not and if so, whether the timeline we can commit to fits your needs.

Below we describe the general process and what you can expect from us.

Intake - understanding the problem

The very first thing we address is what is exactly the problem we are trying to solve? In this process we will try to talk to the people that are closest to the business, who will actually use the solution we are trying to create?

Typical questions you can expect are:

  1. Who needs / will use the solution?
  2. Where can we get the data (API/Shared drive etc.)
  3. Is this a one-time job or recurring (daily/weekly/monthly)
  4. In what form is the desired delivery? (Web-app, email etc.)
  5. What is the expected timeline?

Quotation

After the intake, we will provide a quotation for the requested work. In the quotation we will provide details on requested work (specifications) and the costs related to the work (including recurring costs if it concerns a recurring job).

During this phase we can fine-tune the specifications and quotation so that both parties are satisfied.

Delivery

After the quotation phase, we will start the work on the actual project. Once we are done according to the specifications agreed upon, we will deliver the project as agreed upon.

Aftercare

Once the project has been delivered, we can provide aftercare. In the case of a continuous solution like a Web-app, we will make sure that the application is kept up and running.

For any other projects we delivered you can always come back to us in case you need assistance. For example, you need some additional details on the analysis performed for your publication. We are of course happy to provide those.

Depending on the size of the request we might need to charge a fee for the assistance.
